The perfect winter event is currently being held!
There has been a lot of media coverage of this event, but just how much do you know about it?
This ‘Kimi no Na wa’ (Your Name.) collaboration illumination is currently being held at Roppongi Hills observatory floor Tokyo City View, a spot where you can also enjoy a panoramic view of Tokyo’s night city-scape.
Touch panel theatre featuring a starry sky
In the observatory where visitors have a view over the city from 16 windows, imagery from projection mapping transforms the sky into a gigantic screen!
But wait, there’s more! The stars that appear in the night sky can be controlled from your smartphone in an interactive projection mapping system.
Scan the QR code using our smartphone in advance, and prepare the control screen. You can change the layout of the stars, and create constellations too.
Shots from famous scenes featured in works such as ‘Kimi no Na wa’ (Your Name.) by film producer Makoto Shinkai’s will be painted across the night sky. The view promised to be even better than a movie theatre screen.
The cafe also features a special ‘Kimi no Na wa’ menu.
This is the ‘Comet Parfait’ (¥1,480 inc. tax) on the ‘Kimi no Na wa’ collaboration menu.
The ‘Kimi no Na Wa’ (Your Name.) craze has broken out all around the world. And being able to see cuts from this movie painted on the clear winter night sky in Tokyo is so romantic.
We really recommend a visit to anyone who has the chance.
