Recently there has been an upward curving trend in Japan, where a vacant-eyed and inorganic face has been appearing on SNS as icons. There are more than a few who are still bewildered this trend. This is a campaign by popular cosmetics maker ‘MAJOLICA MAJORCA’, on which the collaborated with capricious illustrator Aquirax Uno.
This cosmetics brand has recently been added to the shelves of drugstores and can be purchased for a reasonable price. The girly romantic feel to this brand is what makes it stand out. And this brand has come up with a campaign where you can make your own portrait using the ‘Majoliga’ service. This service has gone viral in Japan, so we here at WWM also thought we’d try it out!
To make your portrait, you start by inserting your name.
In the next step, you choose the face and parts such as the eyes, mouth, eyebrows, and hairstyle. There are lots of choices, and there is also a guys version.
Once you’ve made your face, next up it’s time to use MAJOLICA MAJORCA makeup products! In this step you can try out the cosmetics, and apply makeup to the face that you just made.
And once you have this done, your portrait is complete. This is how our ‘wwm’ portrait came out! What do you think? Once you’ve finished, you will receive a title. Our title was ‘Uno’s noontime dress’!
